Friday the 13th at Najaarsfeesten! Even though Friday the 13th is known for superstition, the Hillegom Najaarsfeesten transforms it into a day of fun and excitement. From children’s games in the morning to a vibrant afterparty, this Friday will be unforgettable.
Start the Day with Fun at the Spelcircuit
At 9:00 AM, the Spelcircuit kicks off on the speelweide of De Vosse. Children aged 7 to 12 participate in various exciting games. These include voetbowlen, a hybrid of soccer and bowling, and the ever-popular buikschuiven, where kids slide down a slick track for ultimate fun. Additionally, kids will enjoy classics like the kruiwagenrace and zaklopen, both of which offer plenty of laughs. The kelnerwedstrijd, a game where children race to serve water without spilling, tests both speed and balance. At the end, every participant receives a prize. And don’t miss out on the exciting Tobbetje Steken!
Clown Docus Delights Children
Next, head to Sporthal De Vosse by 10:30 AM for a hilarious performance by Clown Docus. Known for his ability to captivate young audiences, Mat Claassen starts his act as an ordinary man. However, with the help of children, he transforms into the funny clown we all love. This interactive show ensures that the kids feel involved, making it a memorable experience for children up to 4 years old.
Enjoy the Excitement of Kortebaandraverij
As the clock approaches 3:00 PM, it’s time to head to Meerlaan for the thrilling Kortebaandraverij. This short-track horse race has become a beloved tradition at the Najaarsfeesten. Spectators can place bets on their favorite horses, choosing from various wager types. These include picking the winner or predicting the top three placements. With a total prize pool of €5,500, it’s a race you won’t want to miss. Visitors can grab food and drinks at stalls around the track, adding to the lively atmosphere.

Prize Ceremony and Afterparty at Villa Flora
dAt 6:00 PM, head over to Villa Flora for the prize ceremony of the Kortebaandraverij. Here, the top jockeys and horses are celebrated in style. Then, as evening falls, get ready for the Goed Foute Afterparty, starting at 7:00 PM. This party brings the energy with performances by DJ Marco and the talented Dave van Schie. The lineup also includes the fabulous Annelie Smits and Feest DJ Vlunder, who will ensure the night ends on a high note. With free entry, it’s the perfect way to end the day. However, arrive early, as space fills up fast!
