(try-out) – Peter gaat solo op pad met nieuwe nummers: Peter goes solo with new songs In recent years, Peter van Rooijen caused a furore with his Love, Death & Trilogy, which he concluded with a Best of programme. Now he returns, again with great songs, but he will try out without a band. He goes out solo with all the instruments he can (more or less) play. In the run-up to his sixth full-length show Doei buitenwereld, Van Rooijen will start a series of try-outs in which he will try out and develop new songs and new forms. In Doei buitenwereld! Van Rooijen argues that many people think all kinds of things about all kinds of things (the climate, politicians, racial issues, supermarket workers, etc.) but that they don’t actually understand what they think. In fact, we ourselves are often too stupid to understand what we feel and where those feelings come from. Stop pointing the finger at the other person, anyone can do that. It is time for a deep dive inside! Navel-gazing for experts. As deep as can be. We will find more ugly and more beautiful there than we expect. Peter sets a good example and descends all the way inside himself.
