With diverse distances to choose from\, there’s a perfect route for everyone\, whether you’re a seasoned walker or just looking for a leisurely stroll. \nDay 1: Hillegom – A Festive Start\nThe adventure begins in the charming town of Hillegom. Walk through sandy grounds and along the Haarlemmertrekvaart\, enjoying the scenic Vosse- and Weerlanerpolder. Don’t miss the Beatles monument as you return to the bustling Hoofdstraat of Hillegom. Hillegom’s local entrepreneurs\, organized under Ondernemend Hillegom\, have planned festivities with Beatles music\, selfie spots\, and bulb gift bags to kick off the event in style. \nDay 2: Lisse – Through Polders and Gardens\nStart your journey in Lisse\, navigating the beautiful Rooversbroekdijk and past the Lisserpoelmolen. The route takes you through Sassenheim\, past the Teylingen ruins\, and into the welcoming De Tulperij. Enjoy the serene Keukenhofbos and the spectacle of 7 million bulbs being planted at Keukenhof gardens before finishing at Het Vierkant. Lisse celebrates its 825th anniversary with 825 meters of activities\, including balloon trees and live music at Funky Moose and Het Vierkant. \nDay 3: Katwijk – Coastal Views\nOn Saturday\, the walk starts in Katwijk\, right behind the boulevard with stunning sea views. Explore the historical Rijnsburg\, pass the ancient Roman site of Praetorium Agrippinae\, and visit Katwijk aan den Rijn. Enjoy the coastal breeze and picturesque surroundings. Katwijk’s centrummanager has organized activities in the Princestraat and Voorstraat\, with a chill spot at Andreasplein. \nDay 4: Noordwijk – Grand Finale\nThe final day begins on the Noordwijk boulevard\, with the festive Via Dahlia marking the last kilometer. Walk through Noordwijkerhout\, known for its lively carnival associations\, and into the beautiful Hollands Duin. Celebrate your achievement at the iconic lighthouse finish line. Noordwijk will feature various activities along Kerkstraat and the main boulevard\, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere. \nDuin en Bollen Vierdaagse 2024 – Additional Festivities\nThroughout the event\, various towns will host additional festivities. Voorhout plans to become the “coziest village” of the event\, while Noordwijkerhout will repeat its successful red carpet and live entertainment from 2022. Warmond will feature a DJ and treats along the route for the longest distances. \nChoose Your Distance\nParticipants can select from five different distances: 5 km\, 10 km\, 15 km\, 20 km\, and 30 km per day. Whether you choose to walk for one day or all four\, there’s a route that fits your pace and preference.
